Slacker

That who I am

I have been slacking updating the blog, but why? Well because there is no news. Sometimes I get upset thinking, still no children, still no word. But then I remember I have great friends who are getting us through this, friends who care and ask how things are even though they know sometimes the pain is tough, they want us to know they are here for us and we are so thankful.

Its a journey we can not do alone, this past week we were able to share with some people the journey we are facing and oh my were they excited that this is happening and they want to be involved and we are thankful that we have those type of people who care truly about us!

I do have a post for later about how God worked in our my hear today from church

But right now I am going to focus on our Nation and hope to celebrate today with another Gold Medal and a new Olympic Record!! GO CANADA GO!!

Not much

Well there isn't much to update

Our social worker is busy doing stuff and looking for kids on the side, well thats what she tells me and thats what I am praying she is doing.

I am having a rough time right now with this, I am ready to fall on my face its a tough journey. There are times I feel like I want kids right now, and then there are times I am okay with the wait.

What I am not okay is going out daily and hearing any news on the adoption? When will you hear?

I don't know when I will hear, it sucks so much! When your pregnant you get 9 months, we can take up to like 3 years! Ack I will not think of that, I have faith it will all happen this year! I have faith it will happen soon. God is in Control! No social worker GOD is! And I pray it happens soon so I don't fall flat on my face, I have waited along time.

Did you know we own a 3 bedroom place and I have a hard time going into the 2 bedrooms because really they should be filled with children. Some nights I go and sit on the bed in one of the rooms or I sit on the hope chest looking out the window praying for children for this room. I think this maybe a nightly thing.

Well thats all for now, not much of an update.

Olympic Torch comes to Elkford!

What an awesome experience it was to be apart of it! We got up at 5am and went to see the torch for 6am. Then we had a pancake breakfast and to our surprise the runners all brought up the torch for us to all get pictures with and hold it! Thanks so much to the runners for letting us be apart of this special day!

My heart breaks

Tonight I sit here and think of all those children in Haiti who maybe be orphans now. It breaks my heart, I have always wanted to do adoption from another country but the money it costs is crazy. So I have been thinking depending on time it takes maybe in a couple of years we will adopt from another country and we could fund raise.

I think about the kids in Canada too, the ones who maybe have special needs and no one wants them but guess what I do!! I want to give them a home.

Last week we lost Evan's Oma and I remember seeing this phrase on his aunts fb and it really made me to clue in, it is true.

Happy moments, praise God. Difficult moments, seek God. Quiet moments, worship God. Painful moments, trust God. Every moment, thank God.

Tomorrow!!

Wooohhhoooooo our social worker comes back to work tomorrow wooooohhhhoooooo I am so excited and cant wait!!! I have been looking forward to this day forever!! I am not going to bug her until like Wednesday or Thursday I hope she calls me before then!!

So I am excited! and hope to get some stuff going!!

We will miss you

One thing that makes us sad is that two wonderful ladies will never get to meet our children.

My Grandmother passed away a month ago on December 8th she was 84 years old

Today we lost another wonderful lady, Evan's Oma She would have been 78 in February.

We will miss these two ladies very much!!
