Adoption

People ask us if we will tell Sean he is adopted, and the answer is yes! Sean is going to grow up knowing how badly we wanted him and how much we love and care for him. We are going to get adoption books and hopefully Sean's foster mother will finish his adoption photo book with pictures from birth. I really wanted this for Christmas gifts but I guess its to late.... I feel very frustrated in this part, we were told we would have it when we adopted him and here almost 2 months later we have nothing at all... Se gave us a hand full of pictures around his 1st christmas but they are all like the same... I love them but I would love to see from Birth on...

We didn't give you the gift of life,
But in our hearts we know
The love we feel is deep and real,
As if it had been so.
For us to have each other
...Is like a dream come true!
No, we didn't give you the gift of life.
Life gave us the gift of you.

Not flesh of my flesh, Nor bone of my bone, But still miraculously my own. Never forget for a single minute, You didn't grow under my heart - but in it

Today I kissed an angel
I knew it from the start
the first time my angel smiled at me
I gave away my heart
Today I kissed an angel
this angel child of mine
though not of my creation
my child by God's design
Today I kissed an angel
my heart is dancing wild
a family, by a miracle
blessed by this angel child

Adoption is when a child grew
in its mommy's heart instead of her tummy.

Legacy of an Adopted Child Poem:
Once there were two women, who never knew each other
One you do not remember, the other you call Mother
Two different lives shaped to make you one
One became your guiding star, the other became your sun
The first one gave you life, the other taught you to live it
The first gave you a need for love, the second was there to give it
One gave you a nationality, the other gave you a name
One gave you talent, the other gave you aim
One gave you emotion, the other calmed your fears
One saw your first sweet smile, the other dried your tears
One sought for you a home, that she could not provide
The other prayed for a child, and her hope was not denied
And now you ask me through your tears,
The age-old question unanswered through the years
Heredity or environment, which are you a product of?
Neither my darling, neither
Just two different kinds of love.
